Radials Rule

Large radial engines, such as this Pratt & Whitney R-985 “Wasp Jr.”, powered a plethora of famous airplanes during the early years of avaition.  This one, mounted on a 1929 Curtis Wright Travel Air, still runs and carries this beautiful vintage plane aloft.
