The aspens on the north rim of The Grand Canyon glow with rich yellows and reds during the brief fall. Juxtaposed against evergreen ponderosa pines, the show is brief but spectacular as winter lurks.

Fall happens quickly on the western slopes of The San Francisco Peaks near Flagstaff, Arizona. The aspens turn a vibrant yellow, the color rages and gets richer for a few days, then evening winds strip the trees paving the way for winter.
